Tip-enhanced Raman scattering (TERS) provides the spectroscopic imaging beyond the diffraction limit with high spatial resolution (>50 nm). Two different molecules such as Histidine and amyloid fibrils were immobilized on sputtered Ag surface. The grafted island structures of Ag nanoparticle, formed through annealing, were employed as a SERS substr​ate whereas further signal enhancement with improved spatial resolution was achieved by means of tip enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS) measurement using metal coated AFM tip.
